On August 2019, Namlo Europoa successfully completed the construction of four roomed school building in Tribhuwan Secondary School. This building is to provide desperately needed space for four classrooms of Tribhuwan Secondary School. Having over 700 students, the school was compelled to hire some rooms in nearby building because of insufficient space in school. A permanent reinforced school building has been the remedy the shortage of space. It has now provided the school and students with the facilities they need for their studies to excel and meet with their educational needs.
On 11 June 2019, we completed the installation and setting of agriculture project in Kalesti community. The greenhouses were completely installed in the farmlands, drip irrigations were installed and irrigation facilities were maintained by the farmers with the help of a trainer. The project was started with the supply of materials on April 19 to the farmers in Kalesti community.
Shortlisting the 13 most active farmers from Kalesti where we constructed a school in 2018, an agriculture project was launched nearby Kyamin Secondary School. This project is to address the farmers need to commercialize their agriculture practice which, for so long, remained very traditional. The motivated farmers are committed to make the most out of it.
On 7 January 2019, package of seven different seeds and soil nutrients are provided to the farmers of Sindhupalchowk District. This support consists of tools and support provided to 85 households from different clusters of Dugunagadhi village. The support was divided into two broad groups based upon their agro performance and output productivity in the first season: lead farmers and general farmers.
This is an addition to the existing agro materials and tools which are already in place including the greenhouses and irrigation improvement tools.
The villagers are provided with seeds, soil nutrients every season for facilitating the cultivation. Our agro technician provides guidance, training and facilitation every season to enhance the productivity, identifies gaps and consults with us to fill the gaps.
15 Lead Farmers
The top agro producers were identified from among the total households. These lead farmers were provided with plastic greenhouses, water supply and storage tools for irrigation facility improvement, seeds, soil nutrients and cures, tools for making local organic pesticides and liquid fertilizers, and an experienced trainer to implement and train them.
70 General Farmers
These general farmers are provided with the seeds, soil nutrients, tools for pesticides and liquid fertilizers with locally available herbs, decayed fruits and kitchen wastages, trainings and other supports that a farmer needs for vegetable cultivation.
Over 500 volunteers contributed their hand labor during the last week of December for the construction of Tribhuwan Secondary School. The school organized a volunteer campaign to collect the local materials such as collection of stones, local raw materials and tools. The volunteers appeared with shovel, kodali and local tools to carry out the work.
School construction in Tribhuwan started from November 2018 with a volunteer civil engineer from Argentina. A four roomed reinforced concrete building of 24mtr* 9.375mtr is designed with high earthquake resistance following a government recommended drawing code
On 28 Dec 2018, package of seven different seeds and soil nutrients are supplied to the farmers of Project Agro Dhenung. This is an addition to the existing agro materials and tools which are already in place including the greenhouses and irrigation improvement tools. This will benefit all the 37 households (18 households from Manpha and other 19 households from Jhirudi-Bharlangdi cluster).

On 02 Dec 2018, package of woolen winter clothes were provided to the lower school kids of Kyamin Secondary School. This consists of woolen jumpers and cardigans sent from Fabra School in Spain. The materials were donated by our elderly supporter from France. These clothes will be very helpful for the kids to pass chilling cold of Nepal during the winter.
On the same occasion, other set of stationery items consisting of weather calendar, color pencils, word cards, tools for mathematical games, nursery banners and posters and many other stationery items were also provided to the school.
Package of scholarship materials for all the six merit students of ‘Sushil Tamang- Merit Basis Scholarship Program’ have been distributed on Oct 08, 2018. The scholarship package includes tuition fees, all set of stationeries, uniforms, backpacks, additional pair of clothes, and so on.
This program was launched in Kyamin Secondary School in 2017 upon the successful completion of the school construction. Top three students from grade seven are added to this program every year. The students need to fulfill our eligibility criteria in order to fall into this category. The selected students will receive everything that they need to attend school for a year with possibility to extend up to grade 12 upon the fulfillment of criteria. The designed scholarship program is expected to encourage the students create competitive environment in the school and motivate kids to be better in education so that they fall in the selection.
On Aug 22, 2018, the construction of second floor of a school building in Kyamin completed successfully. This was the expansion of a building which was constructed by Namlo Europa back in 2017. This eight roomed building will provide adequate space to accommodate students for five classrooms, a science lab, a library and a teacher’s room. This project benefits the students from approximately 500 households from more than 10 clusters of Vyas Municipality and Kyamin VDC.
On 28 Aug 2018, the materials for Project Agro Dhenung have been supplied successfully. The supply consists of plastic greenhouses, water supply and storage tools for irrigation facility improvement, seeds, soil nutrients and cures, tools for making local organic pesticides and liquid fertilizers. For the smooth functioning, our experienced trainer will stay in community to implement and train them.
Dhenung is the community where our first school was constructed in 2015. From the extensive community needs survey assessment of entire community having 24 clusters, three clusters were found most suitable for launching agriculture projects consisting of 37 farmers’ households.
